Bob,Currently, the public is not allowed in there. Steve D got permission to go in there with Max & that’s when they counted so many whippoorwills!

I can contact them and see what they have in mind. If they are looking for a private walk I can work with them, and if they want a walk that’s open to the public I will get HCAS involved and start advertising an event.

Hello!

 

My name is Michael Boothe. I work in Recreation and Programs at Blue Ridge Mountain Club, outside of Boone, NC.

Blue Ridge Mountain Club spans some 6000 acres and features around 50 miles of hiking/UTV trails. There is significant interest for birdwatching, birding, and conservation in general among the members of our community.

 

We would like to inquire about potentially getting an expert from your organization to come to our property to lead a birdwatching hike/walk sometime during the upcoming year.

Is this something that High Country Audubon would be interested in doing?

 

Please let me know if you require any additional information before making your decision. If you’re interested, we are happy to schedule a meeting (either in person or via Zoom) to sort out the details regarding dates, times, etc.
