Document Type Definitions are probably going to be replaced by XML Schemas
one day....? You might want to check them out too! =]

DTDs can specify valid tags, order of tags, format of tags, content of tags
/ correct type, mandatory fields etc. I think they can pretty much cover
everything!

Not really, just adds something new.  I'd probably have to learn
about document type definitions (or whatever it is called) and
see how they define the fields inside structures.  Do they just
give a list of tags or do they specify what kind of values the
tags have too?
