Talking about gfx editors, has anyone heard about Pixel: http://www.kanzelsberger.com/pixel/?page_id=5 ?
This one is not open, so will not fragment developer community, but it seems pretty advanced and powerful. It's cross-platform and so far seems to have a really nice shareware license (you try the program for as long as you like, and when you feel you've tried it enough, you pay for it).
Perhaps the developer could be nudged to try to compile it for haiku too? Rimas
