Is the development of Java at a standstill for Haiku? I remember newsarticles some time ago indicating it was approaching a usable state, butnothing has been mentioned in quite a while. Are there difficult technical hurdles and/or lack-of-time(real life issues) and/or lack-of-developer-interest? What does everyone here think about howuseful it would be to have it?Hello,I didn't hear much about it recently. There was a project to port openjdk.
OpenJKD is being ported to Haiku by Andrew Bachmann; he was hacking on it last weekend at SHDH37, so you could say it is active. :)
Andrew is not on this list, though, so you may want to join the OpenJDK haiku-port-dev list if you are interested in the project:
