I discovered the haiku project a few months ago, and even though I
didn't manage to install BeOS on my laptop yet, I'd like the idea ;-)
and I'd like to help in some way.
My first idea would be to translate the faq page in Italian (my native
language), to help spreading the knowledge of the project. But, before
starting, I'd like to ask you one question: which license are the faqs
released under (I usually use
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.0/it/ for my
translations, but any "open" license is ok), so that I can use the
same one?

I guess we can use the Attribution-ShareAlike: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.5/ Is there any good reason to disallow commercial use?

About translations:
We can't maintain a website for all the language we would like to
support. Who would take care of translating everything and keeping it
up to date and who would make sure that all statements reflect our
official position? Also, the official/English website would always
have more information than the translated sites. It's better to have
additional community sites for basic information:
* most important news
* project description
* screenshots
* "How To Install"
* "How To Use" intro or full "Haiku User Book" translation
* Download
* link to the official Haiku website (in English) for detailed information
