The action items are quite vague. For example, you have gone into more
details as to how you will produce a mockup (using Inkscape) than providing
any specific implementation ideas. I would recommend spending more time
with what you actually want to do with the Network preferences, and see if
you can aleady give some ideas how it could be implemented. Waldemar
Kornewald has spent a lot of thought on the Network preference panel, maybe
you could read his proposal and start from there:
