I know we always miss it... but i'd still like to see an "official" Haiku
wallpaper for R1/Beta2.
The Haiku logo on plain color is fine and can be the default, but including
at least one image
would be nice as well for people trying out how Haiku looks.
I did some quick searching today and found this:
https://unsplash.com/photos/C2OWh9G536k
It's:
* Openly licensed under https://unsplash.com/license
* High resolution + clear
* Has a Haiku theme given the maple leaves.
* Has a mix of colors
* Is universal, and not bound to any specific religion/ethnicity/popular
culture/location/language
I Just tested this out, and it kinda sucks on my Haiku desktop to be honest
:-)
The point stands though. I've seen a lot of Haiku review videos on youtube,
and folks
always seem to start at changing the wallpaper. They open the preflet and see
one choice and go
"mmkay"
I think anything that matches the guidelines above (minus maple leaves) would
work.
We have to be careful to not "blow up" the install image, but a few nice
wallpapers would
make demos better.
