Hello All,
I am a student and new open-source, I want to contribute to Haiku. I
already made an account on Gerrit.i have read that there is Bugtracker
where I can find bugs to fix, but I don't know how to get started with
it. Please guide me.
Hello Arshdeep,
Great to have you onboard.
You can find the bug tracker here:
https://dev.haiku-os.org
For starters, I’d recommend installing Haiku in a VM, or a spare computer
laying around, and start using it as much as you can. This way you can see for
yourself what needs fixing and/or what annoys you the most.
After you get comfortable with Haiku, you can start learning the API. Userland
applications might be a good place to start, since they do not require much
tinkering with the internals of Haiku.
You can also have a look at the most voted issues here:
https://dev.haiku-os.org/report/9 — although beware — some of these issues are ;
far from trivial.
Good luck!
Emir
