Nope, we add -fno-strict-aliasing to the flags when building with GCC >= 3 (see build/jam/BuildSetup:140). The same issues were present with previous GCC4 builds, hence adding the flag back in r25016. BTW the -fno-tree-vrp from r25054 should be revisited now that we've updated our GCC.
