BTW while we're on the topic of GCC4 - it seems its most recent
actually used incarnation (ie. 4.3.3) is broken under Haiku wrt to
exceptions, and debug information. I don't get stack traces anymore
with Debugger or gdb. And catch doesn't seem to be able to reliably
catch exceptions anymore.
