More findings. If I reboot with the phone connected and working (the phone
never leaves the tethering mode, and so when Haiku is booting it presents
itself as a network interface), on restart it gets recognised on the
Network applet, but the DHCP negotiation never happens and so I don't have
connection. The following line gets printed to the syslog:
