Windows 7 did not boot into a graphical UI with native VGA init either.
I build coreboot with the Intel VGA Bios and now Windows 7 booted into a
graphical UI.
Haiku in fallback graphics mode boots into the graphical user interface.
Haiku with default options still shows only a black screen.
(The integrated mouse and keyboard did not work. A USB mouse did work.
I'll investigate a bit more and file a separate bug about this.)
