Can you enable syslog output in ~/config/seeting/kernel/drvers/
kernel and send me the log file after a restart with the dongle in?
When I hotplug the dongle, I get two lines in /var/log/syslog:
KERN: USB Hub 1: port 0 disabled
KERN: usb_ehci: fullspeed device connected, giving up port ownership
That is, without modifying the kernel settings, syslog seems enabled
by default.
