I know it was talked about blowing the thing up but I always wondered how
environmentally friendly that would be.

If the shop will pay for the powder, ill mix up some thermite, and we can melt
the thing into the dirt.
To hell with the legality grey area- if no one who knows the contact info of
the person who brought it here will bother to take 5 minutes to contact them,
send ME their contact info and ill figure it out.
Otherwise- any of you own a feild we can destroy the thing in for a hackpgh
promo video?
I will do whatever it takes to have that thing exploded, melted, trebuchet
launched over the hot metal bridge, whatever- ill pick it up myself if someone
will give me a place to destroy it!
Im sick of looking at it take up space from everyone of us. Lets do what we did
for the parking lot, band together, and destroy this thing as violently
satisfying as possible.
If people are worried about legality- then why has noone ever come to us and
complained that we even possess it? If it were illgal for us to destroy surely
its incorrect for us to even have it.

This approach is fine by me, but I thought the ATM removal had been decided
upon and was just awaiting a convenient time for implementation. I don't
particularly care which way we go, but I have done some consulting for local
banks, and I could call some people and see if there's a process. Do we know
what brand of bank it was to begin with?

Jake, thats an awesome idea. If everyone contributed $5-10, we could pay for it
as a shop. If the thermite, and angle grinder/sledgehammer ideas fall through,
this may be a viable option.

Has anyone looked into this as an option for getting rid of the ATM? I guess
the cost would be between $125 - $648 (whole truck). They stop by and give a
free quote.
Just feels like there's be a lot of effort/talk over getting rid of it for some
time. I'd be willing to chip in some $ and just get it done.

The ancient pile of scrap wood has reached critical mass and needs to be
jettisoned before it becomes self-aware. I think there is some sentient
pearwood in there. I need someone with a truck/trailer and a warm loving home
(aka fire pit).
Bob mentioned Steve Owens might be an option and one of the shops neighbors has
a fire pit but this may be more scrap than he wants to take in. It's up for
grabs for any pyro.
Also there's the matter of the ATM... still. I was going to shred it into
garbage bag sized pieces but apparently thermite is back on the menu, it just
needs to actually happen. I'll help move that, just need someone with the right
vehicle to show up and haul into the burn site wherever it is. Alternatively,
I'll give it another two weeks then it's back to plan A.ngle grinder
