Hello Neighbors,
If you have any Trader Joe's branded single-use plastics, I'm collecting
them for a plastic packaging take-back action this month. Clean, empty
chip bags, nut bags, frozen food bags, plastic "clamshells" - that berries
often come in...are all welcome. You can drop them off in the box on my
porch anytime between July 9th and 14th. 48 Pearl Street. Thank you.
I'm organizing an anti plastic event on Wednesday, July 20th. If you are
around, please join us.
I recently started a local group of Beyond Plastics, www.beyondplastics.org,
called Beyond Plastics Greater Boston. We are planning an event demanding
legislative change and corporate accountability with an educational
component about the health consequences of plastic pollution. The
Rally/Action will be held on Wed. July 20th, from 3:00 - 5:00pm starting at
the MA State House. Kirstie Pecci of the Conservation Law Foundation,
Janet Domenitz of MASSPIRG, and I will speak outside the state house, which
will be followed by a plastic packaging take-back action, and end with a
Death By Plastic Die-In near South Station. There is more information at
