Hi Everyone,
not long now until holidays are finally upon us. I look forward to seeing
some of you 'in the flesh' at ConQEST next week.
Gympie Bone Museum is having an exhibition at the quARTz HuB at 13 River Rd
in July. That's the old PC Place building next to Telstra.
*We will be having a special viewing afternoon for teachers, science
technicians and teacher aides on Thursday 13 July from 3pm until you all go
home ;-) You are free to drop in any time after 3pm, stay as long as you
like and refreshments will be supplied.*
The exhibition features the science and art of bones, including interactive
xray boxes, gilded bones and skulls, a range of bones from various species,
a complete articulated camel and sculptural works inspired by and including
bones. Entry is free and the exhibition will suit both primary and
secondary students.
There will be a number of special events for students and families during
the month so please follow GympieBones on Facebook and Instagram. Special
access for groups can be arranged. Photos, drawings etc of the works or
inspired by the works are encouraged. We are very interested in what the
collection might inspire in others.
Please let us know you are coming on the 13th so we can be prepared for
catering.
