Esta tecnología fue anunciada al público allá por el 2004.
En ese momento se habló de una tecnología que revolucionaría el desktop como
nunca antes.
Se dijo: "verás tu PC como en Minority Report" (sic).
Luego se vió que estos efectos distraen demasiado al usuario y al poco tiempo
te cansas y deseas volver al antiguo desktop.
La única razón por la cual hoy podemos probar XGL en nuestras PCs es porque
Novell quiere algo del mercado de Vista.
Revolucionario?, para nada, por lo menos con la utilidad que lo muestran.
