The Wintrans Braille Translator is a free program (based on NFBTrans) that converts files from braille to text format. The resulting text files may be read with synthetic speech in any of numerous programs that can open a text file for viewing or editing, e.g., Notepad, Internet Explorer, or Microsoft Word. The web site is http://www.wintrans-bt.org/ Hope this helps, Jamal -----Original Message----- From: guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of beth Sent: Thursday, November 18, 2004 3:57 PM To: guispeak@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [guispeak] Web-Braille Hi, all. My local library for the blind has a patron with a PC who has a Web-Braille account but no Braille display. A library staff member wanted to know how the Web-Braille text could be translated into speech. I have had no experience with this. Any ideas? Thanks.
