Two teenagers seriously injured during violent street attack

Shocking video footage has been released of a drive by attack on a group of
teenagers in Newton Heath.
The video shows a Peugeot 306 mounting the pavement on Briscoe Lane alongside a
black Volkswagen Passat and a dark coloured Vauxhall Astra with a gang of men
jumping from the vehicles and attacking the teenagers.
The teenagers flee from the street, with one 15-year-old boy chased and
attacked by up to four men in Harringay Road. He was taken to hospital for
treatment to facial injuries, which required stitches, and a broken arm.
A 15-year-old girl also suffered a fractured cheekbone and other facial
injuries when she was hit in the face during the incident at about 2.20pm on
Saturday March 2.
A further two teenagers suffered serious injuries when they were attacked on a
Manchester street.
The offenders then got back into their cars and drove off along Briscoe Lane
towards Ten Acres Lane.
One offender is described as being between 30 and 35 years old, of
heavy/muscular build, tanned and wearing a beige top and beige trousers.
Detective Constable Paddy Connell, said: "The offenders have driven up to the
victims and launched a deliberate and sustained assault on a busy street in
broad daylight, leaving them with extremely nasty injuries.
"We are working hard to establish exactly why they were assaulted and who is
responsible.
"Did you see the incident or do you know those responsible? If you have any
information please come forward."
