Hi Jane, I, like you, use chip and pin and personally, I was so grateful that it appeared in the first place. I think, maybe, that people are anxious of others looking at what numbers we press into the machine, but quite honestly, I just tend to cover my hand with the other one, while doing this anyway. There is always a dot on the number 5, so the number pad can be located easily and to enter your pin, this button is always found at the bottom right of the machine. Once you have done it a couple of times, it's as easy as dialling a number on your phone. Take care.
