Hi Lisa,
I am very glad to hear about your new cat. I have always wanted a cat, but my
friends and family really don't like them, also I would have difficulty knowing
where they are, as I have no eyesight.
I have been thinking for years about having a Guide Dog, but I am still unsure
as yet. We had an exhibition of products and services from loads of different
companies who help blind and deaf people in Shrewsbury nearly a fortnight ago,
and GDBA were there. So I spoke to our Area Manager, Chris Floyd about having
one. I was sent some information On CD and he told me that I could ring them
at their office in Shrewsbury and book an appointment to go and see them there,
ask questions and meet some of the dogs which they are training. I also joined
up with the Calibre Cassette Library. I am reading a book called Strolling
Along With The One I love which they sent me at the moment. I also had a look
at Cobolt Systems and got one of their catalogues. All in all, it was a very
good exhibition.
