Oh you poor dear! This sounds awful. They call the wear and tear depreciation in America. Many people here carry what is called replacement value coverage. The reason for this is that otherwise someone would sue for something old and ragged in a case like yours and demand full value. The honest suffer because of the dishonest. Carer came and dressed my bottom half, I have mastered doing my top half. Carers that take me have never used a joystick wheelchair and the bumps and knocks is like being on the dodgems, I have one hole in the wall and when I went to shops with carer on my day out that I wrote to you about, my good foot got a good knocking, walls, doors and counters too in the shops. We went in a wheelchair taxi to the magistrates court cost five pounds there and five pounds back, cheaper than the other one who charges twenty eight pounds there and back plus they said it was going up another eight pounds. I know money from using my colour decoder and I fold twenty pound in half, I fold ten pound in half and half again so that it is oblong, I fold five pound in half and half again to make oblong like the ten pound and fold it once again to make a little square, ten pence has ridged lines on the edge and two pence is smooth edge. I have a pen friend sticker on my purse and a sticker on my piggy bank, Malcolm helps me add up my money and sometimes if I can I try to use the calculator on Guide and the amount I talk onto the stickers. Carer was short and could not see over my head and my daughter helped to get the wheelchair out of the three doors struggling as they are heavy fire doors and tiny little corridor that you need to turn to go out doors as they are not in a straight line. The taxi driver wheeled me up the ramp, he never put any belts on the wheelchair and the roof was very low, I had to keep my head bent with my bad neck that has lymph nodes in, hospital said they would cut them out and have a look around, me too scared as it is on my jugular vein. The taxi driver wheeled me down the ramp of the taxi and I nearly acme off the ramp and the carer and the taxi driver was trying to pull me back on the ramp. Then the carer could not wheel the wheelchair so the taxi driver wheeled me in to the security guards in the court. Carer turned off electric joystick and did manual wheelchair, security guard wheeled me onto lift, not big enough lift to put anyone in lift with wheelchair, so they pressed the button up I go scared stiff and trying to brave at same time, talking robot says door open, door shut, etcetera. Carer wheeled me and security guards took us to waiting room, we were called straight away. There was me, my carer and the Judge. I am representing myself as I am not allowed Legal Aid due to my case, so therefore no solicitor will represent me without Legal Aid, I not understand as an immigrant gets Legal Aid, why cannot I? I gave the Judge what he asked for the list of items priced which my Living coordinator did the total of all but never did individually and it was done in an email, she never came to help with putting each items total separately as what the Judge ordered, too bad I gave them as they were as I could not do it. Other party's insurance man was on the telephone to us on loud speaker, he has asked to adjourn it again because he wants me to send an email to him to say why the items were ruined, it is obvious the soaking wet items were put into black bin bags and because of the time it took to give me clean water to wash them, they had gone slimy, smelly and mildew. This was written on the statement in the beginning, what do I know I just do as I am told. Judge said it will not be the total on the list, it will be wear and tear. I think this is a law for insurance companies, example do picture like me, each finger on your hand is one hundred pounds, you bought a brand new bed for two fingers and you just take the plastic off the bed and someone ruins it straight away, you sue them, insurance will only pay wear and tear of one finger, that means you have to pay another finger to get a new bed and it wasn't even your fault, this law called wear and tear is not right is it? Anyway came out of court with an email address off the Judge to write why the items got ruined with the flood. This do not seem right, but I have to do as told. Lots of bangs with Carer who I think bashed wheelchair into wall and taking a chunk out of it, security said it was alright, I said how much do I owe you for wall as we banged into something else. Eventually I was in lift and out of lift and a few more bangs and outside the court. Carer said I will put it on joystick, wheeled me round and round and round and round and round and round in circles on the spot in one, I felt seasick, we are still in same place outside court going round and round, then I think she got the hang of it as I was zigzagged a bit further, then carer put it back on manual. We went all the way up a road and came all the way back down the road, as carer said the there is only a dip in the pavement by the court, but my wheelchair has a kerb crawler and can go up and down pavements, I said this but yes we went all the way back to the court, oh my I am not going out no more when I get home I am staying in and cancelling going out. I was supposed to go to court and the rest of the time go shopping, time gone now. Poor carer she did try and they are the best caring Carers ever, I love them to bits, but none of the Carers know or have been trained and they give me different Carers. Any way we are now walking on a road, I can feel the tyres of the wheelchair making a noise, wheels are as close as close as can be to the edge of the pavement, I could hear and feel it burring, oh my poor wheelchair is going to be wrecked. We had a tiny bit of time to go in Boots, bought 2 pairs of sunglasses, carer said similar to ones I was wearing lilac lens and went to Greg's and bought fresh bread sliced and my favourite oblong apple Danish and a ham salad roll. We went in a taxi that had higher ceiling and came home, carer struggled through the three doors, but bless her she got me home, I think it was a big ordeal for her as it was for me. Carer helped me out of my wheelchair, the bottom of my spine was in chronic pain and my legs were numb, I stood as I normally do when pulled out of wheelchair holding onto my stick, leaning on wall. Carer logged out on my telephone and signed book and went. After a few hours of leaning on my wall, I drag myself into my bedroom, took two painkillers and flopped on my bed in agony. After pain killers kicked in I phoned my social worker told her the Judge was going to phone her, she was a bit busy for me, I am aware of me being a chatterbox. I slept exhausted. My intercom kept ringing, I pressed the button to let them in, was not for me, went back to sleep, intercom ringing again, I let whoever it is in again, still not for me, it is annoying me, I could hear footsteps going up the stairs, they must keep forgetting their keys. Intercom has been reported broken on numerous occasions, it has no sound to hear a person speak who they are, it only rings. Anyway I have written the email what the Judge ordered me to do before doing this email to you, as you are now the jury. I wrote this. All the soaking material wet items like clothes, bedding, bath sheet towels, soft toys etcetera were put into black bin bags and due to the time it took to have clean running water obviously they went slimy, smelly and mildew. I know men don't but females like myself store keepsake boxes with photos, special drawings of children's first pictures and christening items, cards etcetera, plus I had my late grandparents keepsakes like my grandfathers freemasonry scrolls, aprons and sashes which he wore at Freemasons etcetera stored on top of the wardrobes. Amanda totaled the cost of the items, but this does not include the items on the list called invaluable. The worst is the undignified, inhumane way I had to live for all that time with no water to bath, flush toilet, washing machine etcetera and never ever a letter of apology for all the stress caused. And I put my name at bottom of email and sent it. And now I send all of it to you, I am too exhausted to think, but wonder what you think of my day out.
