btw he's not self sufficient aside from his reliance on oceanic waste
disposal, he externalizes his greenhouse gas emissions from the biomass he
burns to heat the plastic and from the plastic itself into the air we all
breath. the CO2 will be around for up to 1000 years (not to mention the
other toxics released when you dissemble most plastics). imagine billions
of these or - worse yet - industrial scale plastic dissembling of LDPE,
HDPE, PP, PS and PVC that account for over half the plastic produced
globally. Yuck.
there are still nearly 3 billion people cooking 2-3 meals a day with
biomass (wood charcoal etc)

The plastic to diesel works but not economical YET. Petroleum Industry
probably controls all the commercial plants and can just keep charging what
they want for petroleum products. Supply and demand. Gas was really cheap
when no one was driving.
