I just want to get on top of the rumor mill. I heard some false talk cropping
up about next years GTD22 site. I want to put aside the fears.
Some have been passing around that Sturgis, South Dakota will be the next GTD
gathering . I want to assure everyone that that is not at all certain. Yes, I
will admit I have done some checking and yes there seems to be some really
spectacular deals on accommodations there especially the end of August after
some vehicle rally. I only checked since I saw the ads on Facebook and I’ve
been informed it’s good to keep expenses to a minimum.
First of all refuting this vicious rumor I’m not sure I could get Scoutman to
do 2-3 scouts in advance that far away, and I think the downtown RV park rates
@$2 a night reasonable but they kept mentioning we’d have to sign a bunch of
forms saying they are not responsible. . So no it is not at all ceratin that
will be the next gathering site, but the deals I’m seeing offered are hard to
ignore. Someone mentioned something about COVID. I found this chart but does
anyone really believe these squiggly lines.
Again no worries, these are just fake news, hoaxes and lies- nothing has been
decided…….yet.
