Tommy and Ralph, Jan and I got to go to a Class Ax for a birthday
celebration last week. They use cottonwood boards and wet them down, and
keep them moist. The wood holds up better than pine and keeping it moist
kept it from chipping so much. No idea how available cottonwood lumber is,
seems that said they got it from a mill in IL.
It was a blast, and the heavier axes stuck better.
