Dear Gardeners,
I went to hook up the hoses Friday and there was no water. Apparently, the
supply hose had been hit by a lawnmower, both up by the east garden, and by the
hydrant. i spent most of the afternoon getting parts to splice and repair the
old hose, and installing the new hoses.
Please read these instructions for using the hoses:
1. Whenever moving the hose, pull it by the hose, not the attachment on the
end. Most attachments are not strong enough to take the force.
1. When you are done using a hose, please put the end of the hose in one of
the water tanks, so if it leaks, it does not flood someone's garden.
1. DO NOT attempt to adjust or change any of the valves in the water
vaults. If one of the hoses should spring a leak, you can do what the mower
person did, turn off the water supply with the faucet handle on the hydrant.
PLEASE CALL the GVCA POOL at 330-467-1593 or the GVCA OFFICE at 330-467-7036,
let them know it is urgent, and that they should call me immediately. (You
should also post a note here, but realize I may not see it for days.)

PS. I checked with my staff, and we did not remove any tomato cages. When we
removed the old fence, anything against the fence was placed in the nearest
plot.
