We've checked with Paul - thanks Lauren! - and he'd welcome a letter to the
Post Office, but focused on thanks rather than requesting reassignment.
So, we've adjusted the letter, as below. Hopefully this will work well
alongside the gift/card for Paul that others are organising. No need to
re-sign, if you're happy with the new version - we'll just adjust the front
page. We'll leave it in the phone box until next Sunday in case anyone else
would like to sign up.

For many of us, whether it’s a break in a busy work day, or a point of contact
on a quiet morning, Paul’s visits are a bright point in the day.
