Piet-

Sorry we missed your question yesterday. So, I am guessing, without being
able to confirm it right now, that this information is held in the HKEY
CLASSES ROOT part of the registry within each file type. If you can pin down
the registry value that gets set when this option is set (using Regmon or
similar tool) you can create a custom ADM to handle it through GP.
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT is just an alias to HKLM\Software\Classes and
HKCU\Software\Classes, both of which can be managed through ADMs.

Subject: [gptalk] "browse in same window" option in Windows Explorer

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to set the "browse in same window" option in Windows Explorer
(Tools -> Folder Options -> File Types -> Advanced) through Group Policy?
When opening a link to an Office document (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) we
would prefer the document open in its native app instead of in Internet
Explorer. When this option is disabled the doc will open in its native app,
but I can't find a way to control this option with Group Policy.

Thanks,

Piet
