Maybe SMS has the special "we know that the Office product team sucks so
we're going to do some extra work to clean up after them" feature.

Hmmm, I could have sworn we did upgrades with SMS and it went just fine.
Maybe I am just imagining that though. J

Jamie-

Nope-fantastically it does not upgrade 2003 by default. Yet another feature
from the Office product team J

Anand,

Why is Office 2003 still on there if you installed 2007? Did it not upgrade
the 2003 installation?

I had to write a script that ran MSIEXEC to uninstall previous versions of
Visio & Project, so it will probably be the same

Can you direct me to an article or 'how to' for the startup script ?

Was Office 2003 deployed using GP? If not, then the only thing you can do is
perhaps a startup script that calls the Office 2003 uninstall command.

I have office 2007 deployed using group policy (computer settings).

However it does not uninstall Office 2003. Is there any way I can do this

uninstall via GPO ?
