Thanks for your help. I installed GPP on my Vista client and then configured GPP on it. Then I installed GPP CSE on my XP clients. Now How can I enable "HTTP 1.1 Through Proxy Connection" option with the help of GPP? Sorry for my bad English ;-) -Reza ------------------------------------------------ Reza Alikhani Microsoft Certified Network Engineer + Security (MCSE+Security) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) ------------------------------------------------ --- On Wed, 1/7/09, Nelson, Jamie <Jamie.Nelson@xxxxxxx> wrote: From: Nelson, Jamie <Jamie.Nelson@xxxxxxx> Subject: [gptalk] Re: Enabling HTTP 1.1 Through Proxy Connections option in IE with Group Policy To: gptalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 12:27 PM As a follow-up, I should also mention you should be able to deploy the GPP CSE through WSUS if you’re already using it in your environment. You will also have to have at least one Vista SP1 RSAT workstation or Windows 2008 Server from which to create/edit policies containing GPP settings. See the following response I posted to a similar question a while back (has lots of good links to GPP related information): //www.freelists.org/post/gptalk/Adding-an-account-to-a-local-group,13 Regards, Jamie Nelson | Operations Consultant | BI&T Infrastructure-Intel | Devon Energy Corporation | Work: 405.552.8054 | Mobile: 405.200.8088 | http://www.dvn.com From: gptalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gptalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Reza Alikhani Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2009 11:08 AM To: gptalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gptalk] Re: Enabling HTTP 1.1 Through Proxy Connections option in IE with Group Policy I am using Windows Server 2003 in my environment. I wasn’t sure if that was possible through GPP or not. If you have GPP in your environment, this would definitely be the way to go. You can also do it through IE Maintenance Policy when “Preference” mode is turned on but I would stick to one of the first three options I presented if I were you.
