Today's race was a fun for crews and kind of tough on shorter boats. With
NE winds 15-18 kts, four boats sailed a quick race consisting of a fetch to
#1, a close reach to #5, and a broad reach back to the starting line. John
Jr sailed Recovery to a decisive victory. Gotch was 2nd, beating Rebecca J
by about 30 seconds, while Windrush made a good showing, especially off the
wind.
Congratulations to all skippers.
Overal fall series end up with Gotcha taking first place, Recovery second,
and Alexis 3rd.
Great sailing today...I'm looking forward to a fun frostbite series.
Next Saturday is off, with a picnic awards thing scheduled at Richard's, and
we start the frostbite series the following Saturday.
