hello all,

there is an online seminar being held by beyondsight on the 9 june, which=
is mainly about trekker v2 but it will include a segment giving=
information about the up coming maestro PDA.
the space is limited for joining in live, but they are going to record the=
entire seminar and put it up on their site for those who can't join in to=
 listen too afterwards.
they are aiming to put the maestro on the market for under 1000 dollars.
this is for the talking PDA with its special housing which will give you a=
braille keyboard, but this is not braille output its speech only.
you can then get the trekker gps system as an add on for the PDA.
the trekker system comes with one map with it for you local state or county=
 over here in the UK.
in the UK it takes 11 maps to cover england, scotland, wales and ireland=
and they cost 40 pounds each, but of corse you can buy just the ones you=
need rather than all of them to cut down on cost.
so i believe that in the UK after converting the prices to pounds it will=
be possible to buy the maestro plus the trekker add on with the maps for=
the whole of great britain if you want them for under 2000 pounds.
the maestro has both blue tooth and wifi capability, and there are going to=
be optional perpherals available such as blue tooth keyboard for use=
indoors, blue tooth headset and they are looking into having a blue tooth=
gps receiver so you wont need any wires connected.

pete.
