John,
I have taken my Braille Note GPS system with me on several trips on the
airplane. I just carried it in my bag and that was all. YOu can't use
it on the plane, because you're not permitted to do so. I know folks
have done it, but that is not a normal thing. The reason you can't use
it is because the receiver will interfere with the navigation system on
the plane.
