Rich, The garage was in Edinburro and not Dublin but I probably found another like it. These things don't happen without getting lost. That is half the fun and it makes for good war stories later. There was a coat of arms shop I was trying to find. I set it as a point back in the 90s when the GPS reception was 100 meters instead of 10 meters. I eventually found it but it took some asking. Did you find the parking garage we got lost in next to the shopping center where we got those soccer shirts? I just got back from a trip to Turkey and Greece where I was using an Apex with Sendero GPS and Oakley ROKR Bluetooth sunglasses. What a change from my first trip to Alaska in 2001 using a laptop with Atlas Speaks in an e-pack! -----Original Message----- From: gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:gps-talkusers-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Michael May Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2011 4:15 PM To: gps-talkusers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [gps-talkusers] after 7 years, back in Dublin I had the pleasure today of presenting to the National Council of the Blind in Dublind Ireland. I can't believe it has been 7 years since the Sendero WayFun event in Ireland and Scotland. I have just read over the WayFun Blog for this event which you can find by searching WayFun on the Sendero site. It is fun to run across user points we created back in 2004. I actually have points here going back to 1995. The oldest pub in Dublin is still the oldest pub, the Brazenhead. I couldn't find the Zozimus walking tour. The people are still lively and friendly. It has been such a treat to navigate from a completely different hotel with only sighted assistance when reaching that final frustrating fifty feet. I have been to meetings, restaurant and tour locations through the use of the PK GPS and Sendero Maps. Pretty darn amazing.
