The only way to enable WAAS is to use the PC software that came with the GPS receiver to turn it on, but the catch is as soon as you turn off the GPS receiver it reverts back and you have to do it again.
This is why we contacted the manufacture and got them to turn it on by default for us.

Hi Mike,

Is there a way I can enable WAAZ by default on the Holux I own? Thanks.
Best Regards,

Martin,

I wouldn't think there would be any difference between all the Sirf Star 3
receivers. By default, these sirf star 3 receivers have WAAS disabled. Do
you know if the RoyalTech is enabled? Last one I tried a few months ago was
not. We had the Holux specially modified with WAAS enabled.

Also, the RoyalTech I tried did not have a physical on/off switch. It had a
button. Has this changed?
