Subject: [gps-talkusers] 2013 UK MAPS

Hi

Further to my earlier email regarding the paucity of POIs on the UK maps. I
have now had the opportunity of carrying out further tests using Sendero
Maps on my PC with the same downloaded maps. The results are still the same.

From my address in Brunswick Street, Reading, I am finding only two POIs
Reading West railway station which is approximately 600 ft and the POI that
marks Reading as a place approx. 0.9 miles away. Between my home and that
POI there is the length of the high street (Broad Street) which used to have
a very large number of shops, banks and other POIs.

Moving to central London using a junction of Whitehall I am getting only six
POIs. Again I would expect there to be a large number of POIs in the centre
of London.

Similar low number of POIs are coning up at other locations.

If the POI information has been reduced this drastically no wonder the
search has been speeded up. I really suspect that there is something wrong
with the map download.

Please would somebody look into this matter.

Thanks.

Steve
