We won't be able to get 3.1.0 (which will include that fix) into
Ubuntu's repositories before the LTS release, because the freeze already
happenend:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseSchedule

However, as we've done before, we will provide up-to-date gPodder
packages via the gPodder Ubuntu PPA:

    https://launchpad.net/~thp/+archive/gpodder

This repo currently doesn't include packages for gPodder 3.x, but once
we get device sync (filesystem-based MP3 players, iPod, ...) back into
the codebase, I'll make sure to update the gPodder Ubuntu PPA with new
packages for gPodder 3.x.

In the mean time, if you don't need MP3 player sync, you can get
up-to-date gPodder packages from Debian Experimental. These packages
should install cleanly on Ubuntu 12.04 as well:

    http://packages.debian.org/experimental/gpodder

Please also note that 3.1.0 isn't released yet, but as soon as it is,
it's usually only a matter of days before an updated package lands in
Debian Experimental (and usually a few hours from the release before it
lands in the Ubuntu PPA, but as I said earlier, I'm currently not
updating it on purpose, so that users don't lose sync functionality).

HTH :)
Thomas
