Another FAQ entry:

Q. How do I change the spelling of a note in Lime?

A. You can alter the spelling of any note by pressing the dash for flat,
SHIFT+DASH for double-flat, equals key for sharp, SHIFT+EQUALS for
double-sharp, and the backslash key for natural.

For example, to change a G-Sharp to an A-Flat, highlight that note and then
type the dash key. Type the equals key to flip it back to G-Sharp.

You can change, for example, a C Natural to a D double-flat by typing
SHIFT+DASH.

Hi,

You can force accidentals to show up by selecting 'Show Accidental' under
the Note menu.

Hi Heidi,

Accidentals can be tricky. You have to remember that a written
accidental applies for the entire measure, and then is gone in the next
measure. For example, in E-flat Major, say you have two notes on the line
representing E, and no key signature, or rather, the key signature is
C-Major. And if you position the cursor on the first note E, and lower
it by one half step, an accidental flat will be put there, and an
accidental natural will automatically appear on the second note. And
then you move the cursor to the second E, and lower that note by a half
step, the accidental disappears, because the first accidental still holds
to the end of the measure.

One way to get around this is to use whole notes in a common time
signature. That way each note will have its own accidental as required,
and not have the accidental carry through to another occurrence of
that note in the same measure.
