Hi Elizabeth,
Good to see you here on our list. I will answer your two questions separately.
This reply is about setting tempo in Lime.
You can make permanent or temporary changes to the tempo. As Alex noted, to
set a definite tempo, add a tempo annotation.
Annotation menu > Text Assistant > Tempo Marking
The Tempo Marking assistant dialog opens with focus on the term "Allegro." You
can arrow up or down to choose other common terms or, if you do not want any
specific term at all, press page up to move to the top of the list where it
says "None."
Press the tab key to move through the dialog to set a specific metronomic
marking. If you do not want any metronomic marking, I think you must edit the
annotation to delete the default value of quarter-note equals 120.
Once you close the dialog, you can edit your tempo marking annotation. For
example, you may want to change the term "Allegro" to "Con Brio." Or just to
remove the metronomic marking.
Press the ALT key together with the left or right arrow key to select the
annotation. Press ENTER to open an edit field. Your cursor is positioned at
the end of the text. Make your changes and then, although it seems
counterintuitive to do so, press the escape key to close the dialog and save
your changes. Pressing the enter key while focused on the edit field only
moves you to a new line in the field.
To temporarily change the playback tempo, you can change the value for Percent
of Marked Tempo in Lime's Hear dialog. Press CONTROL+H to open it. It
defaults to 100 percent. You can reduce the percentage to play the piece back
more slowly or increase the percentage value to play it back more quickly.
After you press enter, the Hear dialog closes and your piece begins to play
back. During playback, you can increase the tempo by pressing the CONTROL key
together with the right bracket key. To slow it down, press the CONTROL key
with the left bracket key. Note that you will probably need to press these
keys multiple times before you notice a difference in the tempo.

Subject: [goodfeel] Questions About Lime
Hey Everyone,
I have some questions about Lime, but first, I must introduce myself. My name
is Elizabeth, and I am currently in college, working toward obtaining my music
degree. I have been using Goodfeel since December; I have learned a few things,
but there is still much I do not know.
To start off, I can think of 2 questions, but I can assure you that I will have
more in the future:
1. In Lime, when initially setting up a piece, how do you change the tempo? I
can do it in the Piano Window, when using a MIDI keyboard, but when playing my
pieces back, the tempo does not match. Therefore, what I have just recorded is
off time.
2. How do you insert an Anna Crusis? When recording, since it is hard to
determine the first beat when listening to the metronome, my entire picpiece is
thrown off because of the pickup note.
Alright. That's all for now. Thank you all in advance.
