Hi Jenny,
The shortcut to the Delete Measures dialog is CONTROL+D. It is certainly
sometimes necessary to delete bars but I have found that it may be simpler to
move to the bar in question, toggle Note Entry mode on with CONTROL+N, and then
replace all of the material in the measure with a rest or rests.
For example, if the time signature is 4-4, type the number 1 above the letter Q
(on the U.S. keyboard anyway) which tells Lime that the next note or rest you
enter will be a whole note. Now type the letter r as in rest and the measure
is now a single bar of rest.
Again, deleting a bar or more is sometimes exactly what you want to do but one
of the unintended consequences is that Lime will not automatically reformat the
page layout. That is, if you had configured your new piece to show 4 measures
per system and you were to delete one measure, that system will now only
contain 3 bars of music in the print score.
If you want to reformat your piece, you can use Lime’s Systems dialog to do so.
The shortcut is CONTROL+U.

To get the playback to do the right thing, you need to indicate where the first
and second endings start using the Bar Line dialog. Here are the general
instructions:
* Click on the first note or rest of the first ending.
* Open the Bar Line dialog
* Select 1st Ending (near the bottom).
* Click on OK
* Click on the first note or rest of the second ending.
* Open the Bar Line dialog
* Select 2nd Ending (near the bottom).
* Click on OK

Hi everyone
If you insert a 1st & 2nd time ending, how do you get it to play back
correctly? When I play it back using the “hear†command it does do the
repeat but does not recognise the 1st time ending and plays that again the
second time through as well before playing the 2nd time ending.

"endings" and then press Enter. Ending numbers and brackets can be copied and
pasted from Annotations(.lim) which can be found in Lime's Start menu.

Hello,
As a braille transcriptionist, I am just getting familiar with the software to
try and adapt my students music materials.
I am trying to figure out where AND how I would insert a first and second
ending within a piano piece. It is located within measures 10 and 11 but I do
not know how to use the software to place this in. Is there any advice or
tricks to do this?
