Hello Players, This week is very busy for many people, between finals and holiday preparations. However, it's also the last weekend to see "Children of War" at TFA, and TFA managing director Kevin Murray writes us to say that there are still student tickets available. -Jim Maiwurm, Players Secretary Kevin's message: Hey everyone. There are still plenty of available student tickets for Children of War. I know, they aren't free, they're $10, but all box office proceeds go to a very worthy cause, the Center for Multicultural Human Services, the sponsor of the event. They have increased the number of available student tix at this price for Thursday, where they really want to increase their numbers. Ask anyone who saw the final dress rehearsal last week and they'll tell you what an amazing experience it is hearing the stories of these kids. The play features the actual immigrant teens from our area who experienced the horrors of war in their homelands (El Salvador, Afghanistan, Iran, Sierra Leone, Kurdistan and Somalia) and have now settled in this area. They share their differences and similarities of experience with the audience in a very simple way but with full production values under the remarkable direction of Ping Chong. I hope you'll scrape together $10 and go. It's worth it.
