Zen Master Thich Nhat Hạnh writes: One day Siddhartha, the Buddha-to-be, felt
that he was about to have a breakthrough. Meditating under a beautiful pippala
tree, he had the sense that sometime that night he would realize full
enlightenment and become a Buddha. Suddenly, Mara appeared. Mara sometimes
appears as doubt, sometimes as anger, darkness, jealousy, craving, or despair.
When we feel doubtful or skeptical, he is there. When we feel angry, irritated,
or lacking in self-confidence, that is Mara.
Siddhartha had been visited by Mara many times before, and he knew that the
best way to treat him was to be very gentle. That day Mara came in the form of
skepticism. He said, "Who do you think you are? Do you think you can attain
great enlightenment?
Don't you realize how much darkness, despair, and confusion there is in the
world? How can you hope to dissipate all of it?" Siddhartha smiled, expressing
great confidence. Mara continued, "I know you have practiced, but have you
practiced enough? Who will witness that you have practiced long and hard
enough?
Who will testify that you can gain enlightenment?" Mara demanded that someone
confirm that Siddhartha was going to become a Buddha, a fully awakened person.
- At that moment, Siddhartha touched the Earth with his right hand, very
deeply, with all his mindfulness, and said, "The Earth will testify for me."
Suddenly, the Earth trembled and appeared as a goddess, offering him flowers,
leaves, fruits, and perfumes. After that, Earth looked directly at Mara, and
Mara just disappeared.
One day, sitting alone, he was absorbed in the thought that there must be a
nonviolent way to run a country that would avoid the kinds of suffering brought
about by prisons, tortures, executions, and war and bring real happiness to
people.
Suddenly Mara appeared and said, "Lord Buddha, why don't you become a
politician?
You can apply your wisdom, knowledge, and skills as a politician." The Buddha
looked directly at Mara and smiled, "Mara, my old friend, I know you well," and
Mara just disappeared.
- The Buddha did not want to be a politician. He only wanted to be a monk, and
he knew that it was Mara who was trying to tempt him to become a politician.
All he did was recognize Mara and smile at him.
- When the Buddha touched the Earth with his hand, he touched it with all his
mindfulness.
When we are visited by Mara-when we feel irritated, lacking in self-confidence,
angry, or unhappy-we practice walking meditation, touching the Earth deeply
with our feet. When we do it mindfully and joyfully, Mara leaves us in less
than an hour. The Earth, our mother, has brought us to life many times, and
each time she receives us back into her arms.
The Earth knows everything about us, and that is why the Buddha invoked her as
a witness.

Trillions in Government Subsidies Are Driving Ecosystem Collapse, Species
Extinction

Together, governments the world over are spending at least $1.8 trillion
annually — 2% of global gross domestic product — on subsidies that drive the
destruction of ecosystems and species extinction, and exacerbate the climate
crisis, new study says.
This news comes from a study commissioned by The B Team and Business for Nature
(BFN), and released in a joint brief, “Financing Our Survival: Building a
Nature Positive Economy through Subsidy Reform.”
The BFN website offers a remedy to this entropy:
“With political determination and radical public–private sector collaboration,
we can reform these harmful subsidies and create opportunities for an
equitable, nature-positive and net-zero economy.”
To that end, the two organizations have issued, in their brief, calls to action
to multiple sectors, including one to the governments participating in the
coming UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15):
A press release from The B Team reports that the fossil fuel, agriculture and
water sectors are the recipients of more than 80% of all environmentally
harmful subsidies (EHS) annually, thus “depleting natural resources, degrading
global ecosystems and perpetuating unsustainable levels of production and
consumption, in addition to exacerbating global inequalities.”
Other recipients of significant subsidies include the forestry, construction,
marine capture fishery and transport sectors. BFN comments, “In other words,
public money is financing our own extinction.”
EHS, as the brief defines them, are government support programs that — though
often established (at least ostensibly) to solve socioeconomic problems —
ultimately encourage unsustainable production and/or consumption patterns,
largely because they were deployed without consideration of environmental
impacts.
Beyond Pesticides notes that many of the health and environmental crises we
face have arisen because of such a “siloed” approach to problems, and that
broadly, precautionary and holistic approaches can avoid such unintended and
harmful impacts; see “Scientific Findings Support Replacing Poisons with
Precaution,” (p. 9).
The research finds that globally, the fossil fuel industry receives $640
billion in EHS annually; the agriculture sector, $520B; water, $350B; forestry,
$155B; construction, $90B; transport, $85B; and marine capture fisheries, $50B.
(The report also mentions that, though no metrics are available on EHS for it,
illegal gold mining accounts for billions of dollars in damage each year.)
These subsidies are significant contributors to many of the crises the world
faces: the rapidly heating climate, ecosystem and biodiversity loss, air and
water pollution, land degradation and social and economic inequality.
A UN Development Programme and Food and Agriculture Organization report
suggests, for example, that of the subsidies provided to farmers, nearly 90%
distort prices or cause other harm, and that most fossil fuel subsidies hamper
the critical and urgent need to transition to a clean energy economy globally.
The report also scolds governments for terrible follow-through on pledges made
— and then ignored or unrealized. It notes:
“During the 2010 UN CBD Summit, 190 countries committed to phasing out or
reforming subsidies harmful to biodiversity by 2020 as part of the Aichi
targets. Governments missed the target, and we cannot afford for history to
repeat itself.”

les références à l’usage éventuel de l’arme nucléaire par le Président
russe……………….

promouvons ?
Tout ceci est ridicule, mais grave, quant aux relations entre nous. Certaines

We are members of networks of peace = thus logically the war is not a
solution for us, (are hostile there we), but a defeat of the spirit and peace
= I expressed clearly that I am hostile with the war even presented like
Juste!
However by saying that, one among you treats me of idiot, another implies
that I support the Nazis….
I renew, which I said in several messages and for a long time:
I am for a conference on safety in Europe with the participation of Russia,
- I stated, that I was so that my country signs the TIAN (treated prohibition
of the nuclear weapons),
- I said that I was against the militarization of this area,
- I said that the Ukrainians elected their President democratically even if
we do not like these positions but that it was to respect the autonomy of
Donbass by respecting the Russian speakers,
- I said that I was against the ideological war = a return to the East-West
policy as at the time of the cold war,
- I said that I was against the adhesion of the Ukraine with NATO, but that
the invasion of the Ukraine by Russia was unjustified ..... Like are the
references for the use of the nuclear weapon………………………..

Renuevo, lo que dije en varios mensajes y desde hace tiempo:
son para una conferencia sobre la seguridad en Europa con la participación de
Rusia,
- Indiqué, que era para que mi país firmara el TIAN (Tratado de prohibición
de las armas nucleares),
- Dije que estaba en contra de la militarización de esta región,
- Dije que los ucranianos eligieron democráticamente a su Presidente aunque
estas posiciones no nos agradan sino que debía respetar autonomía del Donbass
respetando a los rusohablantes,
- Dije que estaba en contra de la guerra ideológica = una vuelta a la
política de los bloques como al tiempo de la guerra fría,
- dije que estaba en contra de la adhesión de Ucrania a la OTAN, pero que la
invasión de Ucrania por Rusia era injustificada ..... como lo son las
referencias para el arma nuclear…………………..

I want to express my position regarding Ukrania
We cannot seriously defend any position in this case if ww call ourselves
peacemakers
Simply we are against any kind of violence . We cannot justify death produced
by attacks nor invasions from any country located in the North South West or
East indistinctly, with the quote "we are defending us from them' because
violence is not necessary
the media cannot justify the finalities
The citizens need peace
Let them find dialogue and agreement and please forget our personal
preferences for any government
Democracy must prevail over any kind of tirany
Democracy is not perfect but seriously nobody would accept any other system
because the opposite is simply dictatorship which is perilous

Simply recall that the same day that Paris was liberated by the Allies, the
Algerians were massacred by the French army in Oran.

Notre réseau GHA est-il encore un réseau de paix ? Sinon, un réseau qui
justifie la guerre ?
Chers amis,
Mon constat : est le sentiment antirusse et anti POUTINE qui va déferler en
Europe et dans les pays occidentaux.
Ce qui me désole est le silence et la passivité des membres de notre réseau.
Nous avons élaboré de beaux documents de paix, mais ceux-ci sont confrontés à
l’attitude de paix lors d’un grave conflit alors que la Russie comme certains
pays membres de l’OTAN disposent de l’arme nucléaire. Le Président POUTINE, a
même évoqué l’arme nucléaire pour les Etats qui chercheraient à entraver
son action .Tout ceci = est loin du GANDHICA !
Notre fondateur animateur du réseau justifie la guerre ce qui est contraire à
nos documents L’invasion de l’Ukraine est hélas justifiée par lui , même si
je renouvèle mes plus que réserves s’agissant de ce qui est du gouvernement
ukrainien, mais je refuse la soi-disant légitimité de l’invasion .
La responsabilité des Etats-Unis dans cette situation est réelle !
Néanmoins, les accords de Minsk ont été bafoués, il y a invasion de
l’Ukraine. Tout ceci est contraire au droit international et au GANDHICA.
Allons-nous, ne pas proposer : La désescalade, des négociations pour activer
la paix, le départ des troupes russe de l’Ukraine, une conférence sur la
sécurité européenne. Le refus par les Etats-Unis et l’Union Européenne de
l’adhésion de l’Ukraine à l’OTAN, le refus du retour de la militarisation de
l’OTAN dans de nouveaux pays européens.
SI nous = membres du réseau avons perdu tout esprit critique, si nous n’osons
pas nous exprimer, alors, effectivement, je me demande quel est mon rôle dans
ce réseau ?
Si vous pensez, que je doive le quitter, SVP, par franchise , précisez-moi
votre position. SVP, prenez vos responsabilités !
Pour ma part, ce qui compte est d’être en paix avec ma conscience. Je préfère
être minoritaire que complice ou lâche.
Le gouvernement ukrainien actuel sera chassé du pouvoir. Le Président russe
mettra sa place à sa place un gouvernement choisi par Vladimir POUTINE. Mais
les rancœurs demeureront. Rien ne sera réglé pour l’avenir ! Ce contexte, va
renforcer la présence de l’OTAN dans les pays avoisinants = soit l’inverse du
but recherché.

My report: is the feeling antirusse and anti PUTIN which will break in Europe
and in the Western countries.
What afflicts to me is the silence and the passivity of the members of our
network.
We prepared beautiful documents of peace, but those are confronted with the
attitude of peace at the time of a serious conflict whereas Russia as certain
member countries of NATO have the nuclear weapon. President PUTIN, even
evoked the nuclear weapon for the States which would seek to block its
action.All this = is far from the GANDHICA!
Our stimulating founder of the network justifies the war what is contrary
with our documents the invasion of the Ukraine is alas justified by him, even
if I renew my more than reserves as regards what is Ukrainian government, but
I refuse the so-called legitimacy of the invasion.
The responsibility for the United States in this situation is real!
Nevertheless, the agreements of Minsk were ridiculed, there is invasion of
the Ukraine. All this is contrary with the international law and the GANDHICA.
We go, not to propose: The de-escalation, of the negotiations to activate
peace, the Russian departure of the troops of the Ukraine, a conference on
the European security. The refusal by the United States and the European
Union of the adhesion of the Ukraine with NATO, the refusal of the return of
the militarization of NATO in new European countries.
IF we = members of the network lost any critical spirit, if we do not dare to
express us, then, indeed, I wonder which is my role in this network?

¿Nuestra red GHA es aún una red de paz? ¿Si no, una red que justifica la
guerra?
Queridos amigos,
Mi acta: es el sentimiento antirusse y anti PUTIN que va a romper en Europa y
en los países occidentales.
Lo que me aflige es el silencio y la pasividad de los miembros de nuestra red.
Elaboramos bonitos documentos de paz, pero se enfrentan éstos a la actitud de
paz en un grave conflicto mientras que Rusia como algunos países miembros de
la OTAN disponen del arma nuclear. El Presidente POUTINE, mencionó incluso el
arma nuclear para los Estados que pretenderían obstaculizar su acción.¡Todo
esto = dista mucho del GANDHICA!
Nuestro fundador animador de la red justifica la guerra lo que es contrario a
nuestros documentos la invasión de Ucrania desgraciadamente es justificada
por él, aunque renuevo más mis que reservas respecto lo que es del Gobierno
ucraniano, pero rechazo la supuesta legitimidad de la invasión.
¡La responsabilidad de los Estados Unidos en esta situación es real!
Sin embargo, los acuerdos de Minsk se ridiculizaron, hay invasión de Ucrania.
Todo esto es contrario al derecho internacional y al GANDHICA.
Van, a no proponer: La desescalada, de las negociaciones para activar la paz,
la salida de las tropas rusa de Ucrania, una conferencia sobre la seguridad
europea. La denegación por los Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea de la
adhesión de Ucrania a la OTAN, la denegación de la vuelta de la
militarización de la OTAN en nuevos países europeos.
¿SI = miembros de la red perdimos todo espíritu crítico, si no nos atrevemos
a no expresarnos, entonces, efectivamente, me pregunto cuál soy mi papel en
esta red?
Si piensa, que deba dejarlo, POR FAVOR, por franquicia, precisan su posición.
¡POR FAVOR, asumen sus responsabilidades!
Por mi parte, lo que cuenta es ser en paz con mi conciencia. Prefiero ser
minoritario que cómplice o flojo.
Se expulsará al Gobierno ucraniano actual del poder. El Presidente ruso
pondrá su lugar a su lugar un Gobierno elegido por Vladimir POUTINE. Pero los
rencores permanecerán. ¡No se regulará nada para el futuro! Este contexto, va
a reforzar la presencia de la OTAN en los países vecinos = sea el revés del
objetivo que se persigue.
