BoA Credit Card has done it again.
I downloaded my new transactions into Quicken.
First, Quicken asks if this is a new account, or should it link to an
existing account.
I told it to link the existing and only Bank of America credit card account.
Transactions posted successfully, balance looks correct, matches what
the BoA online says.
I do a reconciliation to my online balance. Quicken matches all
transactions.
Then it says I am out of balance by the amount of my current balance -
it says BoA reported a current balance of 0.
So, I called BoA. After waiting 20 minutes, the agent listens and
transfers me to on-line banking.
On-line banking agent goes through it with me again, asks me to logon to
their site again, and download again, which I did. Noting new found.
Agent says he will transfer me to their Quicken specialist. He
transfers me to a Quicken help desk, not a BoA agent. I get a recording
that tells me to go to the Quicken site to get a correct phone number
and hangs up.

So much for improved customer service from Bank of America.

I took a look at the downloaded qfx file.
It contained
                 <LEDGERBAL>
                     <BALAMT>     -0.00
                     <DTASOF>20130220040000[-5:EST]
                 </LEDGERBAL>
where the balance should be.

No way this is a Quicken error.

Does BoA test their changes at all?
Does BoA train their second level customer service staff how to
trouble-shoot problems?

Babette, you might let your Quicken rep know that BoA is discrediting
Quicken by blaming BoA problems on Quicken.
I will also pass this on to BoA customer support, in hope that they
still have some elements of the improved customer service they stared to
offer.
