Yes its true...I did the same a few years ago when travelling with 4 bikes...customs at Sarnia nearly called me a nuisance for wanting the papers but I insisted knowing very well that I could be challenged on ownership at any point of return back into Canada.

Just out of curiousity, do you need some identification for the bikes, so that when you return, Canada Customs doesn't think you bought them in the U.S.? I was once told that there is a form, or some paperwork you need to fill out on the Canadian side, before you go across. This is like a 'passport' for the bike. Any knowledge of this anyone?Bob -----Original Message-----From: georgianbents-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:georgianbents-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of HICKS.TJ@xxxxxxxxxxxxSent: May 9, 2008 11:04 AM To: georgianbents@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [georgianbents] Re: WaterfordSame. I will likely head out Friday around noon or so, maybe slightly before to miss any mad border rush, and then head home Sunday afternoon. Two of the bents I want to see are these two homebuild NoCom clones:http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x273/flycow_bucket/IMG_1367.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x273/flycow_bucket/IMG_1482.jpg Not to mention all the other actual NoComs and other exotics. ----------From: georgianbents-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:georgianbents-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Linda BowdenSent: Friday, 9, May, 2008 06:29 AM To: georgianbents@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [georgianbents] Re: Coming events hi againi talked to Linda. she has a speech at work on the friday in the morning. i thought we may go friday afternoon and come back sunday. would like to see the bents. i will take the carbon but not race. i can't keep up with those guys.larry ----- Original Message ----- From: "25hz" <<mailto:25hz@xxxxxxxxxx>25hz@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <<mailto:georgianbents@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>georgianbents@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2008 10:52 PM Subject: [georgianbents] Re: Coming events > Yes sir.
