Yes its true...I did the same a few years ago when travelling with 4 bikes...customs at Sarnia nearly called me a nuisance for wanting the papers but I insisted knowing very well that I could be challenged on ownership at any point of return back into Canada.

Same. I will likely head out Friday around noon or so, maybe slightly before to miss any mad border rush, and then head home Sunday afternoon. Two of the bents I want to see are these two homebuild NoCom clones:
