27,332 days!, goodness, if the gravitational pull is strong enough to pull the
seas, surely the speed of the moon would be too slow to maintain its orbit and
it would crash to Earth?
Isnt there a mathematical way to work this out?

Solar Eclipses
Since the earth does not rotate, then the moon cannot be orbiting the earth
once every 27.332 days. It is orbiting
the earth clockwise once every 24 hours and 50 minutes. According to the
heliocentric model, there would have
to be a solar eclipse every time there is a new moon! Additionally, if the
moon was moving as slowly as they say
it is, when it blocks the sun during a solar eclipse, the sun should stay
blocked for hours! Likewise, when a lunar
eclipse occurs, because the earth is four times the size of the moon, the
earth should block the moon from being
lit for at least a couple of days! And this time the rotating earth can't
save them, because it has no bearing on
the relative position of the sun and moon!
