He did not realise the paramagnetic and electrostatic qualities of the atmosphere . (Wow that is almost out of my own writings to this list even) Yet I must add he seems to have neglected that the magnetic field is the same for the most part in a vacuum. He seems to come from my own background, so I expect to find a flaw if there is one in regards to my own subject. I have collected some of his quotations ,, (chapter 11. ) which sound relevant, and with which I empathise.. I have not detected if he has any spiritual side yet. But he is certainly aetheric, and not the actual original hypothetical kind , as far as I can see... I have downloaded his main book. Its a long read. Philip. Sample quotes. Newton, ...... He was hero worshipped by those who followed , almost to the point of becoming a saint or a scientific God . In life , Newton had some very strange beliefs and opinions about the world . He believed that the Ancient Greeks had previously made all the discoveries he had made . In relating the Christian Bible to the sciences , he repositioned historical events to agree with his view of history . He studied Alchemy and as a minister , challenged The Holy Trinity while teaching mathematics at Trinity College , Cambridge . Faraday: As Faraday chased the magnetic effect of electrical currents flowing in wires , he was led astray by observational illusions , in particular , his use of hypothetical magnetic lines-of-force . Magnetic and electric lines-of-force do not exist . They appear as observational illusions arising from a simple mechanism that escaped detection . When Iron filings align as sympathetic magnets to a directed magnetic field , each chain of magnetic connections produces a sympathetic field that repels similar magnetic chains . He did not realise the paramagnetic and electrostatic qualities of the atmosphere . (Wow that is almost out of my own writings to this list even) Maxwell Marconi Einstein and friends.... Maxwell gathered all the information known about magnetism and electricity . He worked on the problem and in 1864 deduced a dreadfully complex series of Æther wave equations that would lead him to theoretical speed of magnetic radiation , close to Römer's approximation of around 190,000 miles per second . After Hertz replicated and improved on some of Faraday's experiments , Marconi made communications possible using magnetic amplifiers and resonant circuits . With the development of wireless technology , Marconi faced the challenges of a hostile scientific community . In spite of the scientific community's claim that two or more radio transmissions would block all radio transmissions , Marconi designed a frequency selective tunable wireless transmitter and receiver , proving science theory , inept and wrong . The scientific community had to simplify Maxwell's equations to agree with Marconi . According to his theory , the elemental unit of energy x , being a quantum , a constant of h having a direct relationship to the frequency of radiation f . Planck argued , x = h f With better technology , experiments began to reveal some strange aberrations to the view of light , so much so , that it began to force a crisis in the sciences . Logic and theory were at loggerheads with Nature and observations . On one hand , light behaved as a waveform , then another set of observations suggested a particle . However , in 1905 , a young unknown patent clerk in Switzerland proposed what appeared to be an exact formula for the size of the bullets making light . His theory carries with it , much of the pre-1900 unscientific baggage that had entered the sciences . In his explanation of the photo-electric , Einstein's dared to take the unthinkable step , combining Planck's quantum of radiant energy denoted as h v , ( rather than h f ) being a discrete packet of energy of a certain size , as both a particle and a wave . WARNING Unfortunately , science denotes the frequency under two different variable names , both f and v . This bastardisation creates a degree of sophistication in the explanation . The deliberate juggling of x = h f as x = h v , leads to abuse and misuse , where mathematical confusion wrongfully links v ( the frequency ) to v ( the velocity ) ! Since the velocity of a wave , v = l f , then , f = v / l Therefore , in terms of velocity and wavelength , x = h v / l Since Max Planck adopted the phlogistic method , it was adopted by Quantum Mechanics and replaced the scientific method , as the foundation stone of Quantum theory . This method involves the trial-and-error forcing of observations into whatever parallel mathematics could satisfy the observations , in terms of the parent theory . With this historically recognised method ( dating back to 1700 and first identified by Antoine Lavoisier in 1789 , ) Quantum theorists developed sophisticated concepts involving the complexities of specific electron spins and precise sub-orbitals in an uncertain version of Bohr atomic model of 1911 , to the damnation of all scientific credibility . He bombarded various foils with the massive a particle , a stripped Helium atom . Falling into Nature's trap , Rutherford fell victim to an observational illusion , proposing a model very similar to Bohr's atomic model as his own . Unfortunately , this atom cannot explain the precise structure of crystals and the differences in chemical bonds . However , because Rutherford had defeated Chemical theory by splitting the atom some years before , he won the respect and adulation of the general public , so Rutherford's atom must be true , electrons orbit the nucleus . Although his theory fails every logical test , it was accepted on the basis of the name and reputation of Rutherford . Repeatedly , Scientific history shows that with every great discovery , an equally great blunder occurred . When delving in the unexplored territory , with insufficient knowledge , people do make fatal mistakes . Einstein now took the next phlogiston step , force-fitting observations into agreement with the theory . To satisfy the Michelson & Morley experiment , Einstein forced light speed to become independent of the source AND the observer . He did this by deforming time itself with distance and speed . In describing a mathematical delusion , he made time and space as one , so that light speed became a point where the rate of time slowed to zero . With any increase in speed above this point , time ceases to be at c and then begins to run backwards , making it impossible to travel faster than light without going backwards in time . Such a theory so confused the scientific community , it became a point of contention and a popular theme for science fiction writers , preaching to the general community . snip ... just a sample to let you know where he comes from... There are reams of attachments full of math that I did not even consider giving more than a glance. Every paragraph almost had one of those blue links... Phil.
