I have to agree with you in that I would never get involved in politics.

Having said that it is possible for Christians to influence the way some politicians think. We have a very good example in this country. They have quite a bit of influence in lobbying MP's. Check this link.

I only mentioned evangelical Christian as opposed to a Roman Catholic or JW etc. Do you think it is possible that you are doing the same for evangelicals as you accused me of doing for scientists? Who exactly are you calling 'Ratbags'?

Just an opinion, but real Christians do not get into government. The only change is that John Howard is no longer God, Kevin Rudd is. But he probably hasn't been given his orders by his new boss yet. Not all of them anyway.
