Gee, thanks, Rich, for volunteering me for this new project while I was at work and unable to defend myself! 8-0 You need to know, however, that I have to drop my son off at his summer day camp by 10:00 am and pick him back up again by 3:00 pm. I don't know if I will be able to get to Rt. 66 park by 10:00 am. 30 to 35 kids will require at least 7 volunteers to help out. Do you really think that that many will volunteer on a wednesday in the middle of a work day? Good weather, free food; what could be better! Dancing Strawberry and Bingo even stopped by to visit. And thanks to Jack, Jim, Steve, and Stephen, for helping out and making sure everyone had a good time. And Paul was there doing podcast and taking pictures. And now the State Parks want to start pushing geocaching in state parks, even to the extent of maybe co-sponsoring MOGA which would eliminate the insurance costs. I talked with the person from JC who is in charge of events and activities with the park system. she is very enthusiastic about a big caching event. I'll be out of the office starting early tomorrow for a while on a non-geocaching vacation :-( But, after our work today, we have been requested to do another event at Rt. 66 park on Wednesday June 20th from 10AM-12noon on geocaching, just like we did today. Unfortunately, I can't participate since I'm doing a geocaching presentation for the rotary Club on Wednesday, but Jim nominated Sarah to help and Stephen volunteered to help again. There will be 30-35 7th graders (12 and 13YO), so a few caches need to be hidden, GPS WP's loaded (will get the yellow eTrex loaners again from MDC), and helpers to handle smaller groups to hunt the caches. So please contact Sarah (or Jim) if you can help on Wednesday as she will need to coordinate everything. Sorry for the short notice but this just came up today. The lady that is handling the event at Rt66 attended one of our session today and really enjoyed herself and thought it would be a fun thing for the kids. Over and out; Rich
