Perhaps that was too much of a leap of faith.  Let me try the
Kevin Bacon association approach.

* MIGC 2005 will be sponsored by SLAGA
* MIGC requires liability insurance
* SLAGA will need liability insurance
* SLAGA needs to be non-profit to be recognized as an entity that
can buy insurance (and to get a bank account in the name of
SLAGA to pay for that insurance, instead of in the name of a
private individual)

And did you imply that MIGC will be a dangerous activity :-)
