Netgear has a device that you can actually plug in up to two hard drives and
connect them both to your home network. I believe it runs about $100 at
BestBuy and doesn't include the hard drives.

Subject: [GeoStL] NGR: Looking for network backup system

-
I have 2 desktop PCs and 1 laptop whose
data I have been backing up to DVD disks
on a monthly basis. A lots of DVD disks.
I want to buy a backup system with
at least 350GB of storage to save drive image
backups, full data backups and increments
data backups - for all three computers. I
don't need a full-blown computer with a
large disk drive. Just a unit that is
'network-addressable' that I can either
use as a mirror drive or as an external
storage device.

Right now, I use Nero for doing backups
across DVD media.
